Hey Ya'll

When we moved to Virginia we expected more people to have accents.  There are some that have a heavy drawl, some have a subtle twang but most people ’round these parts just sound like everyone else we know.  The kids have been in Virginia for 84 days.  Can you guess which one already sounds like a native?

The boy.  Oh, yes.  I wish I knew how to post sound clips because ya’ll would get a kick out of his newfound drawl.  The hubby and I find ourselves snickering behind our hands at the way things come out of his mouth.  Perhaps we’ve gotten used to it but I don’t think everything he says has an accent.  You have to talk to him for a bit before something will slip out dripping with twang.
